REHABILITATION SHAPING IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

An overview of the outcomes of and prerequisites for the sociomedical and educational technologies shaping for social protection and rehabilitation of disabled persons in the Republic of Belarus is presented. In addition, the medical, educational, vocational and social welfare institutions readiness for implementing the programs and providing services within the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) ratified by Belarus on October 18, 2016 is analyzed. The research was targeted at analyzing the opportunities for enhancing the efforts of various social institutions (healthcare, labor and social protection, education) in creating the environment for enjoying the person’s rights for life and health in order to define rehabilitation as a complex strategy aimed at enhancing the humanistic impacts, services socio-economic effectiveness and personal autonomy as one of the  biomedical ethics key principles.
