MANIFESTATIONS OF ORAL CANDIDIASIS

Fungal stomatitis is one of the most widespread diseases of the oral mucosa that can proceed independently or accompany the general pathology. It develops against the reduced nonspecific resistance or the immunity disorders. The variety of implications is associated with the pathogen’s activity, the disease stage, the body general condition. Candidiasis is diagnosed basing on the clinical picture and is confirmed by the laboratory researches results. A specific treatment is carried out locally when the mucosa has a limited lesion. A severe course and presence of visceral lesions demand prescription of drugs acting systemically. The proper hygiene of the oral cavity, its sanation are obligatory for recurrences prevention.
