INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IN ORGANIZATIONS OF MINISTRY OF PUBLIC HEALTH OF THE REPUBLIC OFBELARUS
The results of analyzing the legal protection and commercialization of the industrial property objects created in organizations of the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Belarus in 1993—2016 are presented. The institutions and the enterprises of the Ministry were established to employ two business strategies to promote goods and services on the market. The defensive strategy is implemented via registering a large number of trade marks and obtaining numerous patents for the inventions and utility models intended for the products and services legal protection. Within the frames of the patent and licensing strategy, the institutions of the Ministry of Public Health acted as licensors while the pharmaceutical enterprises gained the right to use the industrial property objects. It was concluded that the institutions and organizations of the Ministry of Public Health occupied the leading position in the sphere of creating and commercializing inventions, utility models, and industrial secrets (know-how).
